Nanoscale Characterisation Workshop: Atomic Force Microscopy

May 22-23, 2025 | University of Bristol, UK

We are pleased to invite you to a two-day workshop in collaboration with Dr Rob Harniman at the University of Bristol and the Bruker Nano Surfaces & Metrology Division.

The workshop will provide an overview of the AFM platforms at the University of Bristol, as well as a review of Bruker AFM systems showing a variety of applications and what’s new and exciting in the AFM world.

BioAFM-NWV-Bristol-Renishaw.pngIn addition to talks from our technical experts we will also be demonstrating the Dimension Nexus AFM and NanoWizard V BioAFM systems with a full overview of their capabilities, followed by a training day focussing on sample processing in Materials AFM and AFM for Life Sciences.

We are pleased to announce that Tim Batten from Renishaw will be joining us to discuss integrated AFM and Raman usage, and Sali Davies, the Chief Executive of the RMS, will be joining us to provide an overview into the future of the RMS.

We are offering the opportunity to those who can’t attend in person the option to join remotely for the talks on the morning of Thursday 22nd – unfortunately the afternoon and following day are restricted to IN-PERSON only - please review the program to see details of the talks.

The workshop will be valuable for researchers (from students, Post Docs to PI’s), experimental officers, lab managers and other scientists involved in material characterisation at the nanoscale.

This workshop is free of charge. Please click here to download the program.
